This semester in Intermediate Studio Arts, students have continued to develop their art-making skills, reviewed virtual exhibitions and explored visual communication design. At the very beginning of the semester, students created artworks inspired by an artist of their choosing. This resulted in a wide range of pieces with very unique and individual styles which can be seen on this page. 

 

Students then wrote a short story and created illustrations for their short story. This proved to be a more challenging task for some. The illustrations took quite some time to complete and being in lockdown students had to persist and persevere despite lacking with motivation at times. Students then completed a review of a virtual exhibition of their own choosing. Although we would have loved to have visited a gallery in person, the pandemic created a unique opportunity for students to explore exhibitions and galleries across the globe using online platforms.
