YEAR 9 & 10
Throughout Semester One, Intermediate Drama specialism students studied one of three plays including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. Students have studied the performance style of Elizabethan Theatre and selected Shakespearean monologues to perform. Students have worked in partners to direct, block and refine their monologue performance, expanding their skill set in production areas. Drama specialism students have manipulated their expressive skills to create complex characters through in-depth research of their monologue and Shakespearean play to identify intention and motivation for every action in order to tell a story throughout their performance.
